In business and in life, with Carroll everything is truly a family affair!
Carroll Trauth Gales knows how to get the job done by working hard, doing her best and caring for people! She went to work the day she graduated from Archbishop Blenk High School in Gretna! Her two careers have been centered around her life’s passions: family, feeding people and making people feel comfortable.
She learned the value of hard work by watching her parents. Her family owned and operated The Red Maple restaurant, long known as a customer favorite on the Westbank of New Orleans. Eventually, Carroll left the family restaurant and bought her own, Whitesides, steps away from the Gretna Courthouse. To dedicate more time to her young family, she eventually sold Whitesides. Shortly after that she went back to The Red Maple. Her brother bought out the family partners and Carroll worked side by side with her brother, Brent with the task of a complete renovation making the Westbank Landmark bigger, better and more beautiful than ever before.
In 2005, just after Hurricane Katrina, Carroll moved to the Northshore and began her second career, this time following in her mother’s footsteps, real estate. Carroll Is proud to be a second generation Gardner Realtor. Her mother, affectionately known as Ms. Wynona to just about everyone, was an extremely successful Gertrude Gardner Realtor, for many years. Ms. Wynona will proudly tell you that she was good because she was hired and trained by Gertrude herself!
Carroll quickly became a multi-million dollar producing Realtor, helping people buy and sell on the Northshore and on both sides of the river on the Southshore, she became well known as a regional expert on high end real estate.
Family being at the forefront of her life, she refused to let her stepfather who was ill and bedridden spend his last days in the care of anyone else so she moved her parents in with her and oversaw his care. All while maintaining a healthy and successful real estate business. Carroll and her husband Bobby moved to the western side of the parish to foster Bobby’s and Carroll’s passion of quarter horses. Carroll now lives on their farm in North Covington with her husband Bobby and Ms. Wynona. Carroll and Bobby have three adult daughters, Robbie, Kate, and Olivia.
Carroll always makes time for training and education. She regularly attends training and CE to be her best for her buyers and sellers, often with Ms. Wynona in tow. Carroll holds a GRI, ABR and SRS designations. She remains a regional expert conducting business on the Northshore and on both sides of the river in New Orleans. Lastly and most importantly, Carroll is one of the kindest and sweetest people you’ll meet. She’s ready to take care of you.
Carroll most enjoys cooking for her family and spending time with Bobby and their horses.
